[Circular sent 5 October 2020]

Dear all,

I hope you had a good summer in spite of the challenging and ever-evolving circumstances.

This is just a short note to welcome you to HI242 ‘Germany in the Age of the Reformation’. Now you have (hopefully) been able to sign up for one of our four seminar groups (Tuesdays at 11 and Thursdays at 9, 10 and 11), we are looking forward to meeting you for the first sessions on 13 and 15 October respectively (only core modules start in week 1). On our option homepage (https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/arts/history/students/modules/hi242/), I have posted a brief introductory video to explain the ‘lecture’ format, sequence of face-to-face / online meetings and the first preparatory tasks to be completed in time for our first seminars.

Since the video was recorded, however, there has been a change to seminar arrangements for groups 1, 3 and 4 – following medical advice, their meetings in weeks 2 and 4 had to be moved online (group 2 remains unchanged). Apologies for this late adjustment to the schedule and any inconvenience.

Looking forward to meeting you soon - with best wishes for Year 2,

Beat & Maria
