About the Module
Strengths: Things that went well: ‘resources easy to find and helpful’; ‘Very interesting topics. Love the discussions in the seminars’; ‘topics are v. interesting’; ‘interesting and engaging topics’; ‘very goof continuities and links. As I go through the course my understanding of previous topics improves. My favourite module’; ‘Interesting’.

Strengths: Things that went well: ‘class discussions 10/10’; ‘content v. interesting’; ‘content is very interesting’; ‘seminars well structured and lectures really informative. Topics connect very smoothly’.
Weaknesses: Things that did not go well: ‘Module website does not give enough information about formative assessment – more detail would be helpful’.
Suggestions for improvement: ‘more primary sources. Love discussion discussions.

About the Teaching
Strengths: Things that went well: ‘love the lecture handouts. Kathryn is a great tutor – approachable and enthusiastic’; ‘very clear, easy to understand’; ‘seminars are engaging’; ‘Teaching was very intricate and notes are well explained’; ‘it is so relevant – the link between modern society and nineteenth and twentieth century is so fascinating’; ‘very clear and everything well explained’.
Weaknesses: Things that did not go well: ‘lectures are interesting but there is a lot of content in the lectures – it is a bit overwhelming. I love the seminars – I feel happy to contribute as the vibe is relaxed but I would like a bit more explanation of what was said in the lecture (not just debating about health today – but focusing on the history’; ‘more debates’; ‘sometimes rushed because there is too much ground to cover’.
