Disability History Month

The Disability History Month display in the Social Learning Space is a collaboration between undergraduate students Ella Buckingham, Caitlin Hoyland, Tony Kursinkal Thomas, MA student Alice Fairclough, PhD student Mia Edwards, and postdoctoral researcher Andrew Burchell.

In this section you can find further resources as well as a virtual form of the exhibition that is accessible (together with alt-text for the images).

Further reading and resources

We have tried to practice what we preach here, by making the information available in accessible forms, but would welcome any feedback that can help us improve this!

Black and white photograph depicts a training workshop bench. On the bench are items of equipment and various screwdrivers. Two men are assembling these, and the one to the right is seating in an adapted wheelchair. He is middle-aged and balding. Behind this man are four men in suits and coats observing him; they are mostly middle-aged, too, and all have moustaches.
