[Off-campus event] Translation Slam! with Rosalind Harvey, Sophie Hughes and Mexican writer Laia Jufresa

Have you ever wondered what it is that literary translators do? And why two translations of the same foreign book are never the same? Come to our Spanish translation slam and find out. Listen to literary translators Sophie Hughes and Rosalind Harvey talk about finding the right words as they go head-to-head over a text written by Mexican writer Laia Jufresa, who was the first ever International Writer in Residence at the Hay Festival and will be in attendance at the slam to chat to her translators.
