Reimagining assessment - Thursday 2nd May 2024, Radcliffe Conference Centre
Join us for an inspiring day of connections and conversations as we explore the theme of Reimagining Assessment with external speakers and staff and students from across the University. The programme has been developed to allow for many valuable opportunities to engage and connect as a community through a range of interactive sessions. Short asynchronous nano-presentations to share and inspire practices will also be shared with all conference delegates before and after the event.

Welcome from Professor Lorenzo Frigerio, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) at 9.30am
Professor Tansy Jessop
Pro-Vice Chancellor for Education and Students at University of Bristol.
Tansy leads the 'Transforming the Experience of Students through Assessment' (TESTA) research and change project, now used across the world. She has published on assessment and feedback, research-informed teaching, learning spaces and social justice in education, and was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship in 2016 for her work on TESTA and her creative approach to teaching in higher education.

Dr Paul Campbell
Director of the Leicester Institute for Inclusivity in Higher Education at University of Leicester.
Paul supports universities in addressing racial inequalities in their curricular and assessment processes. He is an Academic Advisor for the Centre for Transforming Assessment and Student Outcomes (TASO) and is a sector leader in developing and evaluating interventions for making HE curricula and assessment racially inclusive.
Conference contemplations and closing
3.30pm - 4.15pm
This will be facilitated time to discuss and share learning together from the event, as well as identify one or two meaningful actions points to follow up on in your own practices.
