Inclusive Voices Forum
The Inclusive Voices Forum is a bi-annual, online mini-conference for Warwick staff and students to have open conversations about inclusion in higher education. Staff and students will present information on a topic or a practice, followed by a discussion. It will be held in the Autumn and Spring terms.

Inclusive Education Programme
In 2023/34 the Inclusive Education Programme, led by Dr Ryan Arthur, ran a series of workshops that equip staff with the tools to build inclusive learning environments.
Workshop 1: What is Inclusion in higher education?
Dr Ryan Arthur provided participants with an overview of the debates and controversies around inclusion in higher education settings.
Workshop 2: Inclusion through Reflexivity
Dr Ryan Arthur delved into the concept of reflexivity. Reflexivity involves continuous self-awareness, critical reflection, and conscious consideration of our assumptions, biases, and perspectives.
Workshop 3: Inclusion through Anti-Racist Practice
Dr Anil Awesti led a workshop that equips academic and professional services staff with the knowledge and practical tools to engage with anti-racist practices and pedagogy within and outside the classroom and to challenge racial inequality at the University of Warwick at both individual and institutional levels.
Workshop 4: Inclusion through Decolonisation
Dr Ryan Arthur’s workshop provided participants with the theory and practice of decolonial scholarship to critically examine and transform their teaching materials and practices. This interactive workshop aimed to foster a deeper understanding of the impact of coloniality on education and equip participants with the tools to create inclusive, diverse, and culturally responsive curricula.
Workshop 5: Inclusion through Neurodiversity
Dr Jagjeet Jutley-NeilsonLink opens in a new window explored the terrain of neurodiversity and empower educators, administrators, and policymakers to implement neurodivergent-friendly practices that promote inclusivity and support students in achieving their full potential.
Workshop 6: Inclusion through Students as Partners
Dr Ryan Arthur led this workshop to empower participants with the knowledge and skills to cultivate a culture of collaboration and inclusion within higher education. This interactive workshop focused on the principles of co-creation, mutual respect, and shared decision-making, emphasising the valuable contributions that students can make to the educational experience.
Workshop 7: Inclusion through Assessment and Feedback
Dr Ryan Arthur’s workshop explored strategies that ensure assessments are equitable, accessible, and responsive to diverse student needs, fostering a learning environment that promotes success for all.
