Teaching Interests
I am a teaching fellow delivering both quantitative and practical lab-based content, both to our incoming first-year students, and up through to MBio. I am also involved in the delivery of the Y3 science communication module. Through these threads, my focus is on training up our students to be good scientists in every aspect – to design experiments, interpret data, and communicate their findings with reason and clarity at every step.
Research Interests and Other Activities
In a research context I am interested in the interactions between proteins and membranes, and what this can do for us in terms of cell-specific targeting and drug delivery.
Alongside teaching I currently serve as the Director of Outreach for the School of Life Sciences.
I supervise projects undertaken by both undergraduate and postgraduate students. In the academic year 2023/2024, I will be available to support projects based around meta-analysis of data mined from the literature.
