Collaborative Research

Due to the multi-faceted nature of the Microbiology and Infectious Disease Cluster, we have active collaborations with reseachers across the University of Warwick, including Warwick Medical School, Department of Chemistry, Warwick Mathematics Institute, Department of Statistics and WMG.

Our interdisciplinary research is supported through involvement in Research Centres and Global Research Prioities, including:

Warwick Antimicrobial Interdisciplinary Centre (WAMIC)

We are researchers at the University of WarwickLink opens in a new window tackling antibiotic resistance by integrating expertise across disciplines.

The Zeeman Institute

The Zeeman Institute for Systems Biology & Infectious Disease Epidemiology Research (SBIDER) specialises in bringing sophisticated mathematics to challenges in biological sciences. Our research spans from the theoretical to practical policy advice, and from the genome to the population.

Centre for Early Life

This new Centre is a hub of multidisciplinary expertise, pioneering research that will lead to more successful pregnancies, better health for parents and children, and new treatments and tests.

Health GRP

The Health GRP works with a range of partners to address global health issues through research. Our academics work across disciplines, providing pioneering research into the health challenges that affect us all.

Warwick Integrative Synthetic Biology Centre

The WISB research programme combines the principles of bioscience, engineering, computer science and physical science in theoretical and experimental synthetic biology research. We are developing next-generation synthetic biology tools and systems, biosynthetic pathways, synthetic communities of microbes, and plant-microbe interactions.
