Early Signalling Events in Systemic Immunity
Systemic acquired resistance (SAR) is an immune response that affects the entire plant, providing protection in distant, pathogen-free parts of the plant. This develops an enhanced resistance to further pathogen attack also in the uninoculated organs.
Our group focuses on early plant signalling responses as part of systemic immunity, using Arabidopsis thaliana and Pseudomonas syringae pv tomato DC3000. This is an important model we also use for other research themes.
