Overview

Designed for innovators eager to make an impact on the worlds of commerce and industry, whilst keeping in view the demands being placed on businesses to remain socio-economically responsible. This course will benefit those who want to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and implement transformative solutions, be that within a start-up, an established family business, or even a major conglomerate. You will apply leading edge approaches to assess emerging opportunities in new markets, industries and geographies.

This is a practical course, covering the new venturing process from generating new business ideas, understanding market trends, applying new technology, and designing the infrastructure, right through to launching the business. You will focus on how innovation can be exploited to design leading-edge new products and services. You'll dive into ideation, creative problem-solving, disruptive innovation, and even use cutting-edge prototyping technologies to design new products. Additionally, you'll explore the world of digital start-ups and learn about innovation-led corporate venturing.

At Warwick, we offer a world-class learning environment for innovators and entrepreneurs, with academic excellence and real-world relevance embedded into the programme. Our start-up simulations and experiential learning style provide experience in launching digital ventures, and you'll gain valuable skills in 3D printing, digital content creation, and effective communication. You'll also have opportunities to pitch your ideas, take part in contests, and explore start-up ecosystems.

You'll learn from the best, acquiring the essential skills and knowledge to become an expert in the world of entrepreneurship and innovative thinking. Meet the Course Director: Dr Ali Ahmad

Ali is an Associate Professor at Warwick with research interests in technology and business incubation, intellectual property commercialisation strategies, social entrepreneurship, innovation in hi-tech firms, entrepreneurship in developing economies, and digital entrepreneurial eco-systems. He has over 10 years of experience in teaching and scholarship in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation and continues to publish regularly.

Scholarships and Bursaries

WMG will be awarding over £1 million in scholarships and bursaries to students commencing study on any of our full-time MSc programmes beginning in September 2026.
