Module Content
  • This module is designed to familiarise you with current issues in researching culture and communication in business and professional contexts, introduce you to a range of data collection methods and analytical options relevant to this, and help you develop relevant skills in data collection and analysis.You will also be introduced to ethical issues in research and provided with guidance on how to design, plan and manage a small-scale research project.The module is designed to prepare you to begin work on your dissertation at the end of Term 2 and comprises three phases.

    The early sessions will focus on generic issues in order to familiarise you with the landscape of research, while the core topics will be dedicated to introducing you to relevant data collection and analysis methods.

  • At the end of the module attention will turn to preparing for the final assignment on which you will be assessed.writing a dissertation proposal.
