WMG joins new £1.3 million vehicle battery recycling project
WMG, at the University of Warwick has joined a £1.3 million project with Connected Energy, a pioneer in site-integrated energy storage solutions, Jaguar Land Rover, WMG, and Videre Global to establish key components of a world leading second life battery value chain. The project is co-funded by an Innovate UK grant, awarded in October.

DELIVER-E: revolutionary electric delivery vehicle tech prototyped by WMG
A technology demonstrator for a new type of electric delivery vehicle – which could make the courier industry greener and more efficient – has been developed by WMG at the University of Warwick and Warwickshire-based design company Astheimer Ltd.

In an extensive study researchers found that drivers were finding ways to trick the algorithms that Uber uses to control them to cancel fairs they didn’t want and to avoid the unpopular UberPOOL – where drivers have to take multiple passengers who are heading in the same direction.
Neutron beam from nuclear reactor used to produce safer cars
A partnership led by WMG at the University of Warwick, with the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL), Tata Steel, and the Engineering and Physical Science Research Council (EPSRC) is using a stream of neutrons from ILL’s nuclear reactor in a new project to examine the safety critical welds in cars made with boron steel.
