Our annual Investment Banking Uncovered event will take place here at Warwick early in the Autumn term.

Since the launch of now flagship event in 2008, the event has annually attracted over 400 students and received positive feedback, with students valuing the opportunity to explore the range of opportunities available within a particular sector and to piece together impressions of how their various options may feel in reality.

The evening aims to provide students with:

• detailed overview of the different divisions within an investment bank

• clear understanding of the key skills and attitudes to be successful within the different divisions

• honest overview of the industry and current challenges

• clear reasons why they should consider a career in investment banking

• hints and tips on what they need to do to enhance their chances of success

Format of the evening

Participating organisations will have an opportunity to speak about a particular area of investment banking which we allocate once places are confirmed. These may include, Global Markets – Sales / Trading, Investment Management, Risk Management, Technology and Operations. Presentations will be delivered in a tiered Lecture Theatre with a microphone and audio visual equipment.

Following the presentations, there will be a short question and answer session followed by the opportunity to network informally with students. We believe this event will fill an important gap in terms of information students regularly seek and in ensuring well considered and informed applications.

Employers attending can expect to engage with a focused and career minded audience seeking out further information about a sector of specific interest to them. We recommend that a number of representatives attend alongside the speaker for the networking session as student numbers and enquiries at the event are always high.
