Stress and Anxiety Reduction

Who is it for?

Students who experience anxiety and who would like to both learn to relax, and also manage their anxiety by reflecting on their experience and their lifestyle.


In this session you will cover:

  • Causes and symptons of stress and anxiety
  • Becoming more aware of our own, and others experiences of stress and anxiety
  • Identifying behaviours and thinking patterns which can fuel anxiety
  • Learning ways of managing anxiety and stress including a practical relaxation exercise
  • Share ideas with others about managing stress and anxiety

What will I get out of this?

By the end of the session you will have gained an understanding of:

  • An awareness that you are not alone in this
  • An increased awareness of your own anxiety responses, and how you might use your own resources more effectively
  • How to start to challenge thinking patterns and change behaviours which keep anxiety going
  • Ways of managing the physical aspects of anxiety, inlcuding healthy lifestyle tips
