|Who is it for?||Students: Do you struggle in relationships when there are differences? Do strong feelings get in the way of connection? Perhaps you avoid conflict in case anger emerges and you fear losing control. This workshop aims to help you find ways to better manage difficult feelings and connect more authentically with others.
|Content||There is nothing “wrong” with feeling angry. It is our thinking that implies “wrongness”. Our feelings are our barometer to tell us whether our needs are being met or not. Anger, shame and guilt can manifest in varies guises and we may not always recognise that these feelings underlie our mood or behaviour. Giving a voice to our emotions and understanding the unmet need behind the feelings and reactions is key to transforming uncomfortable emotions and getting our needs met.|
|What will I get out of this?||The workshop is about listening to the judging and blaming thoughts that create the feelings of anger, guilt and shame. When we truly connect with our need, we transform the feeling and place ourselves on the path to getting our need met. It may also lead to greater connection with people we care about.
