EndNote & OSCOLA: Reference Management for Law
EndNote is reference management software used by researchers to organise research information, insert citations and create bibliographies, in their preferred referencing style. The Oxford University Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA) is a referencing style widely used in law schools across the UK including the Warwick Law School. Join Jackie Hanes, Research and Academic Support Librarian, in this online workshop for an introduction to EndNote & OSCOLA. You will learn how to use the desktop version of EndNote, how to import or add references to your library, create groups, and attach full-text articles. You will also learn how to use Cite While You Write function in Microsoft Word to insert citations and create your bibliography in the OSCOLA law referencing style.
This session is intended for law postgraduate students and researchers only. It may also be useful to undergraduate law students who are undertaking their dissertation. It is not recommended for first year undergraduate law students. If you are not a law student or researcher, please attend an alternative EndNote workshop, which will be better suited to your needs. https://warwick.ac.uk/services/library/students/endnote/endnote-workshop/
This session assumes a basic working knowledge of the OSCOLA legal referencing style. If you are not already familiar with OSCOLA, please attend an Introduction to OSCOLA workshop beforehand, or read the online guidance materials on the Law Library Guide. https://warwick.libguides.com/law/referencing
