Westlaw UK: law database training and certification

- Export as iCalendar
Location: Online

Westlaw UK is a leading law database used in both academic and legal practice in the UK. Law students need excellent legal research skills for success in both their academic studies and future employment. Join Gavin Allan, a Thomson Reuters trainer, for an online demonstration of the Westlaw UK law database and the opportunity to take the Westlaw UK Certification. Learn how to find primary (legislation and case law) and secondary (books and journals) legal materials using the Westlaw UK database.

The Westlaw UK Certification is an online test of your ability to use the Westlaw UK database. Students who successfully complete the test will receive a certificate which can enhance their CV and provide evidence of legal research and digital literacy skills to future employers. It can also contribute to the Warwick Award. This session is ideal for first-year undergraduate law students but open to anyone with an interest in law and legal research.
