University Road, central campus

Open to all students.

• FAB user guide and opening times.
• Access to a ground floor student kitchen with microwaves, sink and hydroboil.
• Ground floor student printing area (rear exit side).
• The Agora is the large engagement space on the ground floor at the front of the building which includes a student social learning area and café.
• The mezzanine area offers student social learning space.
• Student social learning spaces are also distributed around the building in small clusters through floors 1 – 4. These areas are identified by the orange furniture.
• There are departmental clusters within the building, and the student social learning spaces in these areas are for the departmental students’ priority use. You can tell if you are in a departmental space by the green floor surface.

Cold food and hot drinks are permitted throughout. Hot food is only permitted in 'The Eating Place' on the ground floor.

The main Library building offers a series of dedicated study rooms including:

• Accessible Study Rooms - One on each floor: bookable rooms for students registered with disability services.
• The Eating Place - Ground floor, near Café Library: a dedicated study space with self-catering facilities including access to microwaves and hot water.
• Study Lounge - Floor 1, near Library bridge entrance: a collaborative area with views over Library Road.
• Breathing Space - Floor 1: This relaxation room is a place for quiet reflection and a break from study.
• Co-creation space - Floor 2: A space where students can work in partnership with academic colleagues, professional services and each other. This is a flexi-space so is only available for general study outside of bookings.
• Teaching Grid - Floor 2: This is aflexi-spaceso is only available for general study outside of bookings.
• Training Room - Floor 2: This is a flexi-space so is only available for general study outside of bookings.
• Seminar Room - Floor 2: This is aflexi-spaceso is only available for general study outside of bookings.
• Silent Study Rooms - Floor 2: There are 2 silent study rooms on the floor 2 extension.
• Wolfson Research Exchange - Floor 3: Specifically for Postgraduate Research students. Bookable seminar rooms (x3) for research-led events. Lockers available on a termly basis. Small kitchen area dispensing hot and cold water with complimentary tea, coffee and sugar (hot food is not permitted).

• Open spaces spread over 2 floors, including bench seating, counter seating, and seating booths to aid with individual or group study sessions.

Junction, central campus

Specifically for Postgraduate students.

• Bookable space for independent and group study, presentations, meetings and workshops.
• Relaxation room for time away from study to recharge and refresh

Social Sciences building

Open to all students.

• An open space with desks and seating.
• Located close to Café Social where food and drink can be purchased.

Students' Union building, off the Piazza

Open to all students.

• A light and spacious area with plenty of seats and tables to study or relax.
• The SU food and drink outlets can be accessed from The Atrium along with the Pharmacy, Hairdressers, Unitemps and the University's student post room.

• Open to all, the SU offers a number of seating areas throughout.
• The Green Room has a relaxed and quiet atmosphere and a Free Breakfast Club every Tuesday from 8.30am during Term time.

• A relaxed space open to all with casual and comfy seating for studying, catching up, and relaxing.
• Food and drinks are available from Benugo Bar & Kitchen and Panda Mami.
