CLL PhD student success at annual Postgraduate Research Showcase
Congratulations to all four of our PhD students (Eleanor, Masauso, Fatima and Mi) who made submissions to the annual Warwick PhD poster competition that took place last week. Eleanor Lutman-White won the Faculty of Social Sciences prize and Fatima de Almeida Reszcynski was chosen as a runner-up.
The competition is part of the annual Postgraduate Research Showcase that brings together and recognises the excellence of Warwick’s postgraduate research.
Dr Christine Harrison said,
‘At the competition, judges evaluated each poster, not only focussing on the content and design of the poster, but also on the quality and clarity of the verbal presentation. Each candidate had to face questions from the judges, and they were looking for poster presentations which could explain complex research to a non-specialist audience in an accessible and engaging way.
Not only did all our students present excellent posters, but also Eleanor won the Faculty of Social Sciences prize and Fatima was a runner up, so many congratulations to them. It was a really enjoyable celebratory end of term event and we certainly feel proud of all of them!'
Dr Christine Harrison teaches on the MA Social Work course at CLL and is Director of the Centre for the Study of Safety and Well-being.
