CLL PhD student success at annual Postgraduate Research Showcase
Congratulations to all four of our PhD students (Eleanor, Masauso, Fatima and Mi) who made submissions to the annual Warwick PhD poster competition that took place last week. Eleanor Lutman-White won the Faculty of Social Sciences prize and Fatima de Almeida Reszcynski was chosen as a runner-up.
The competition is part of the annual Postgraduate Research Showcase that brings together and recognises the excellence of Warwick’s postgraduate research.
Dr Ravi Thiara & Dr Christine Harrison conduct research review for Women's Aid Child First campaign
Dr Ravi Thiara and Dr Christine Harrison from the Centre for the Study of Safety and Wellbeing (SWELL) at CLL, were commissioned by Women's Aid to write the literature review that informs the new Women's Aid Child First campaign. The campaign, launched 22 January 2016, is about child contact in the context of domestic violence.

Dr. Alan Dolan on BBC Radio 4
Dr. Alan Dolan, Associate Professor, Social Work Group and Director of the Centre for the Study of Safety and Wellbeing, was interviewed on BBC Radio 4 last week as part of the Thinking Allowed programme. The topic for discussion was Dr. Dolan's research with a 'Dad's Only' Parenting Project exploring how learning to be a good father can clash with ideals of masculinity as well as traditional notions of fathering.
SWELL PhD Success
Hannana Siddiqui, a PhD student in the Centre for the Study of Safety and Well-being (SWELL) and supervised by Ravi Thiara, received her PhD by published works on 22 September 2014.
