Bilingual Intercultural Awareness Workshop (Mandarin & English)

- Export as iCalendar
Location: Oculus OC1.04

Join us for our inaugural bilingual intercultural awareness workshop as we celebrate Languages Week. This interactive workshop will be delivered in a mix of Mandarin and English and explores cultural influences, attitudes and behaviours, and includes a variety of intercultural activities and discussions.

The workshop will be pitched at intermediate-level Mandarin speakers and above – both native speakers and language learners are encouraged to attend! 到时见!

You may find this workshop especially useful if you are seeking to understand, communicate and build effective relationships with those from different cultural backgrounds. No previous experience or knowledge is required.

The workshop leads onto some short supporting online modules and reflective activities that give you the opportunity to build your intercultural knowledge and reflect on your learning and experiences, followed by a second workshop which looks at Intercultural Competence in more detail and how it can be harnessed for your future employability. Upon completion of the whole programme, you'll be entitled to claim a certificate (if you're a postgraduate student) or for remarks to be added to your transcript/HEAR if you're an undergraduate student.

Attendance at this workshop will also contribute 1 point towards the Warwick Award.

If you have any queries about this workshop, please use our contact form.
