Studying International Business and Management (BSc) will enable you to learn a wide range of relevant, highly transferable and sought-after skills. These skills will help to prepare you for an exciting global career in a multinational corporation.

Ranked 2nd in the UK by the Guardian University Guide 2026, our four-year BSc International Business and Management course is designed to equip you with a broad knowledge of business and management and the knowledge and employability skills for a successful career in global business.

Your third year will be spent abroad, in either a partner institution and/or working on an approved work placement. This boosts your academic, personal and professional development, and enables you to build your global network. We have partnered with over 40 institutions in over 20 countries around the world for your year abroad. Current partnerships are offered in Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, North America, Singapore, South Korea and various countries across Europe.

Alternatively, you may choose to work overseas. Previously our students have completed work placements with companies such as Clarins, Colgate-Palmolive, IBM, L’Oreal and Peugeot.

Entry requirements

Modules

Throughout your degree, you’ll study CORE modules - designed to give you essential business knowledge and the skills employers want. Each year builds your confidence, skills and independence:

  • Year 1: Structured, supportive learning to help you settle in and master the basics.
  • Year 2: Apply your knowledge to real‑world challenges through case‑based learning.
  • Year 3: Step up as an independent learner, sharpening your expertise and preparing for life after graduation.

Beyond your CORE modules, you can personalise your degree with a wide range of elective options. In your second and third year, you’ll choose modules that match your interests and career goals or follow one of our recognised routes, which have been to developed to build your knowledge within a subject area.

You will study or work overseas for your third year. You will also complete a core module focusing on your year away experience worth 10% of your overall degree.
