PhD

Two funded PhD positions are available, starting in October 2025. To apply, follow instructions here. Deadline: January 19, 2025.
  1. Quantum algorithms for fusion and plasma physics.
  2. Quantum light spectroscopy of complex quantum systems.

    Information is available on international scholarships for outstanding students, including the Chancellor's International Scholarship and the China Scholarship Council. Other avenues include the Newton Fund, John Monash scholarships.

    Undergraduate/Masters/Summer projects

    We may accommodate talented and committed undergraduate (third year, over 80% aggregate) students for short research projects in the group over summer through the Warwick Undergraduate Research Scholarship Scheme (URSS). Enquires from suitable students are welcome at all times, although advanced expressions of interest for summer projects is advised.

    PDRA/Postdoc

    Funded positions will be advertised when available.

    Fellowship applications

    Enquiries from outstanding candidates in quantum information science who seek support for external fellowship applications are welcome at any time. All of these applications require endorsement from our research group and the department.

    So, get in touch (animesh dot datta at warwick dot ac dot uk) well in advance of the deadlines with your CV, publication list, and cover letter detailing your suitability for potential fellowships.

    Potential sources of funding include Newton International Fellowships, Royal Commission for the exhibition of 1851, EPSRC, The Leverhume Society, Marie Curie actions, JSPS, SNSF, The Branco Weiss Foundation, US NSF, Canadian NSERC, University of Warwick (IAS), AXA Research Fund.

    There may also be fellowships available from your home country as well as other institutions.
