Arts Faculty Seminar Series

For the academic year 2009-2010 I am co-organising the Arts Faculty Postgraduate Seminar Series.

More information can be found at:

www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/arts/afss

The Arts Faculty Postgraduate Seminar meets at around 5pm on either Wednesday or Thursday, weeks 3 & 7 of each term in the Wolfson Research Exchange, in the library. The first presentation starts at 17.30 and there is time for further conversation after, with refreshments provided from the start.

  • Postgraduate research students from all Centres and Departments within the Arts Faculty are invited to present papers of twenty minutes in length, with ten minutes for a Q&A session
  • All postgraduates are welcome to attend, including Masters students
  • The Seminar is a relaxed, informal environment in which to present and discuss your research
  • Work in progress and drafts of conference papers are especially (though not exclusively) welcome
  • We also welcome any panels you put together of similar research interests
  • It is an extremely useful opportunity to gain experience in giving a conference paper and chairing a panel
  • It offers a great chance to meet other students working in the faculty, and broaden both your mind and your research interests!

If you are interested, please contact the organisers indicating the subject area of your research and/or a provisional title as well as a preferred date on which to present. The seminar will take place on weeks three and seven of each term, with scope to move into weeks five and nine, if needed.

Please email the organisers, La Tasha Brown (CTCCS), Ji-Won Chung (English & Comparative Literature), Dom Holdaway (Italian Studies) Francesca Scott (English & Comparative Lit.) and Caterina Sinibaldi (Italian Studies), at:
