Module Feedback

Regular feedback from students plays an important part in planning modules and developing teaching skills within the department. In order to ensure that students can make a direct impact on the ways in which they are being taught, every tutor asks students to complete a questionnaire at the end of the first term and circulates a written report on this feedback prior to discussing it with the students concerned any resulting changes. At the end of the module, tutors will circulate a second questionnaire, so that they can take account of student comments in any revisions they make for the next year (in core, team-taught, modules these processes will usually be organised not by seminar tutors but by the module director). The Department also operates a Peer Dialogue on the teaching process and the module feedback is reviewed as part of this process.

Department of History Student Experience Feedback

The Department of History actively seeks feedback from our students about how we are doing. So, if you have comments or suggestions on how to improve the overall student experience in the Department, we want to know! Please follow the link to complete the Student Experience Feedback Form. The feedback you provide in this form will be shared with relevant History Department committees and the Student-Staff Liaison committee, if suitable, in order to improve the Department and courses on offer. Please note that this form is not for complaints; if you wish to make a complaint, please visit our Student Complaints page.

If you have any questions or concerns about Student Experience in the Department of History, you can also get in contact with Dr Meleisa Ono-George.

Surveys

Warwick Student Experience Survey

The Warwick Student Experience Survey (WSES) is conducted every autumn by the University. It's a great chance for all students on taught courses to provide feedback on the whole Warwick experience - from arriving at university to learning, living and campus services. Like the NSS, it also takes just five to ten minutes to fill in and eligible students are strongly encouraged by the University and the History Department to participate.

For more information please visit the WSES webpage.

Graduate Outcomes Survey

The Graduate Outcomes survey collects information on the activities and perspectives of graduates approximately 15 months after completion. The survey covers UG, PGT and PGR students, home and overseas, full- and part-time. It is conducted by the Higher Education Statistics Agency and is the biggest annual social survey in the UK. The results provide an insight into the career destinations of recent graduates, which shapes both the delivery of services in Higher Education as well as influencing the government's understanding of the needs of the graduate labour market.

For more information please visit the Graduate Outcomes website.
