Modules available for Visiting Students provided by the School of Modern Languages and Cultures 2026-27

Please complete the module preferences form here if you are based in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures (SMLC) to indicate the modules you would like to take. Please note that the modules listed may be subject to change and some modules are operating with very limited spaces available.

If an SMLC module running this year is not listed below, then unfortunately it will not be available to visiting students.

Students based outside of SMLC, e.g. in English, History, etc., who are interested in taking a module listed below should complete the form here to register their interest.

Modules do not require proficiency in the given language unless otherwise indicated.

French Studies Modules

Language modules are taken through the Language Centre. You must enrol for them separately. You can consult the list of Language Centre modules here

Modules from other departments

We can only offer spaces on modules that are provided by the School of Modern Languages and Cultures. If you wish to take modules from other departments, then you will need to contact those departments directly and inform us of the modules they have confirmed for you.
