High Career Prospects for Warwick Computer Science Graduates

Computer Science is 2nd in the country and Russel Group for career prospects; 97% of our undergraduate students go on to work in highly skilled roles; 91% employment rate of our postgraduate students

The Graduate Outcomes Survey of 2017/18 queried graduates from universities across the UK in order to provide valuable insight into the outcomes of their student experience. The results highlighted that:

  • Computer Science is 2nd in the country and Russell Group for career prospects
  • 97% of our undergraduate students go on to work in highly skilled roles
  • 91% employment rate of our postgraduate students

Dr. James Archbold (Careers and Industrial Liaison) said "As a department, we have always been very proud of our employment rate. We try to emphasise strong basics, deep understanding and the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges in our degree courses. I think employers have always responded well to this, and it is good to see our graduates achieve such success in a field that changes as rapidly as ours. My sincere congratulations to all our graduates, who I am sure will continue to achieve great things in their careers."

Professor Jane Sinclair (Director of Undergraduate Studies) said "We are delighted by the success of our graduates. The excellent news reported in the Graduate Outcomes Survey reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality, research-led teaching that enables graduates to secure interesting roles, leading the way in developing cutting-edge technology."
