For Women and Non-Binary A-Level Students

Are you studying A-level Computer Science or Mathematics?

Are you curious about where computing could take you?

Levelling Up: Computer Science is a flagship national initiative led by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT and delivered by the Department of Computer Science at the University of Warwick.

This selective programme is designed to support women and non-binary students who are considering a future in Computer Science.

If you enjoy problem solving, thinking logically, building things, or exploring how technology shapes the world, this programme will help you take your next step with confidence.

Through academic enrichment, mentoring, and direct insight into university study, you will deepen your knowledge, stretch your thinking, and connect with a community of students like you.

What You’ll Gain

Who Should Apply?

We welcome applications from students who:

  • Are currently studying A-level Computer Science or Mathematics

  • Identify as women or non-binary

  • Are considering studying Computer Science (or a related discipline) at university

  • Are motivated, curious, and ready to challenge themselves

  • Can commit to attending all programme sessions

You do not need to feel like an “expert” - enthusiasm, commitment, and willingness to engage fully are what matter most.
