Ponti Summit
AI, Quantum, and High-Performance Computing (HPC) are converging.
The leaders who shape this shift will define new frontiers for compute, transform critical sectors, and strengthen economic resilience.
StateUpLink opens in a new window and WarwickLink opens in a new window are co-hosting the inaugural Ponti Summit at the Warwick Venice Centre, Palazzo Lolin, on Friday 2 October 2026.
This closed-door summit focuses on the convergence of AI, Quantum, and supercomputing, and their applications in strategic sectors for resilient economies and societies: energy, science, infrastructure, and security. The Summit aims to build new collaborative projects and alliances between leaders from major UK, Italian, and broader European research institutions, technology firms, investors, and senior policy delegates.

Confirmed Participants & Leadership
Confirmed participants include Ambassador Stephen Hickey CMG (UK Ambassador to Italy) and FCDO colleagues, Prof. Andrea Ferrari (Co-founder, CamGraPhic), Alessandra Poggiani (Director General, CINECA), and Prof. Mark Parsons (Director, EPCC). Warwick's presence includes Dr. Paolo Turrini (co-convenor), Professor Gihan Mudalige, and Professor Andreas Kyprianou.
Ponti means Bridges
Ponti brings 75 leaders into one room for a full day of structured working sessions. The bridges describe the conversations the Summit is designed to generate, not as separate tracks, but as threads throughout the whole day:
- The founders and executives building critical technologies meeting policymakers, regulators, and procurement officials.
- The teams building frontier tech applications that resilient economies depend on: energy, water, science, compute, and critical systems.
- The labs and institutes producing what comes next.
The Venue
Venice has been a crossroads of commerce, trade, and geopolitical negotiation for centuries — a city built on the art of forging alliances across borders. We build on that legacy to convene the people shaping the next era of critical technology cooperation.
The summit is by invitation only.
Space is limited; if you or someone you know would be a strong fit, please request an invitation at ponti@stateup.co.
