Warwick Postgraduate Colloquium in Computer Science 2025

This year WPCCS 2025 is running on 26th March 2026 (Thursday, Week 11, Term 2) in the Mathematical Science Building.

The Warwick Postgraduate Colloquium in Computer Science is an annual conference where PGR students in the Department of Computer Science are given a valuable opportunity to present their research to their fellow students. It is also an opportunity to develop your presentation skills and receive constructive feedback from your peers on your work. We are happy to offer free participation to all attendees, with food and drinks available.

Target Audience

All students and academic staff from across the university are invited to attend. We will also have guest speakers presenting their work in more detailed, longer-form talks.

All PGR students in Computer Science who started their degree prior to 27 October 2025 are mandated to submit and attend the WPCCS 2025 as part of the annual review process. While participation by the final year PGR students is optional, we strongly encourage them to present their work at the conference, as this will provide invaluable insight to those at an earlier stage of their studies, allowing them to identify potential research opportunities.

Conference Format

The WPCCS 2025 offers the following types of presentation:

Regular Talk

Survey Talk

  • 12 minutes of uninterrupted oral presentation plus 3 minutes of Q&A.
  • Participants will present a novel result or method from their research.
  • 8 minutes of uninterrupted oral presentation plus 3 minutes of Q&A.
  • Participants will present their area and interesting problems they are working on.

Among the types of presentation, the survey talk is designed for the early PGR students who started their degree recently, as they may not have any novel work to present. However, they are more than welcome to participate in the other types of presentation if they have made major progress in their studies.

Presentation of the Session Presentation of the Year
