Second Year Computer and Management Sciences BSc 2011/12

The normal load is 120 CATS credits. Candidates for honours are required to take seven core modules and either all three modules in Optional Core Modules List A or all three modules in Optional Core Modules List B. The balance of 24 CATS credits can be selected from any list of optional modules below.

In order to qualify for the third year students must be candidates for honours and have at least a second class peformance in IB206 Introduction to Business Studies. Candidates who fail to achieve this may be permitted to proceed to the third year of the respective Computer Science or Computing Systems degree.

Second Year Pass Degree Modules

Candidates for pass degrees are required to take the seven core modules (66 CATS credits) and the three modules from either Optional Modules List A or Optional Modules List B. Loads in excess of 96 CATS credits must be discussed with personal tutors and be approved by the Director of Undergraduate Studies. Subject to the approval of the Director of Undergraduate Studies in Computer Science, the total load may be increased up to a maximum of 120 CATS credits

Prescribed Coursework

Prescribed coursework is required for: CS241, CS243, CS245, CS247 and CS252.
