I am interested in the applied biotechnology aspects towards the sustainability of agriculture/food systems. Specific research includes:

  • Food security
  • Postharvest
  • Nutrient balance in agriculture
  • Composting, anaerobic digestion and the application of organic materials to agricultural land
    formulation of biofertilisers
  • Fermentation- production of biopolymers

I am currently working of the Insect Revolution project. The aim of this project is to develop a world-leading sustainable insect industry in the UK
