Research Profile

I am an entomologist working for the Sao Paulo state public health body (SUCEM) responsible for implementing vector-borne disease control. I have been
undertaking a PhD degree under joint supervision of UNESP and Warwick to investigate the relationships between parasite heterogeneity in canine tissues
and their infectivity to arthropod vector sandflies, one aim being to validate and calibrate quantitative PCR methods as a practical tool for identifying
infectious and highly infectious zoonotic reservoirs.
