Nitrogen Mass Balance
This project and report form part of the Biffaward programme on sustainable resource use. The project was primarily funded by Biffaward under the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme with additional contributions from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).
The aim of this project was to prepare a nitrogen mass balance for the UK. This quantified all inputs, outputs and accumulations of nitrogen and products containing nitrogen within the UK economy. This study was based on the year 1998.
The report was released on the 18th November 2005.
