WP5: Stakeholder Analysis
Key stakeholder (local, regional and national policy, commissioning and primary care) level analysis and exploration of views about how to support the implementation and sustainability of actions to decarbonise general practice.
WP5 is an interview study with key stakeholders in the field of decarbonisation in general practice. We defined 'stakeholders' as individuals with a broad range of roles who have a recent personal interest or influence in decarbonisation at a local, regional or national level through their respective roles across the UK. We purposively recruited stakeholders across a broad range of roles and organisational affiliations to take part in an interview.
Interviews were conducted online, focussing on how to reduce barriers to change and promote facilitators to GP practices undertaking actions to decarbonise, and identify actionable strategies, policies and plans that could be implemented at local, regional and national levels. The interview schedule was informed by findings that emerged from the general practice survey and baseline workshops with practices in WP2, and patient survey and interviews from WP3.
Interviews began in February 2025, and were completed in May 2025.
