Phineas Allen

Hi! I'm a 2nd year PhD student in the Astronomy and Astrophysics group working on Improving Orbital Tracking using Optical Parallax Measurements with James McCormac.

I graduated from Durham University with an MPhys in 2023, my master's project was on Passive Optical Imaging for Tracking Geostationary Satellites. In the summer of 2023, I worked for Durham University in the Centre For Advanced Instrumentation as a Research Assistant.

In my 1st year, I visited La Palma to take observations with a portable base I designed for an L350 Planewave mount and a 36 RASA. I am in the process of analysing the collected data and hope to have some good results soon!
