Exoplanets

We study planets that orbit other stars, searching for them and characterising their types, compositions and atmospheres. Our research aims to understand the conditions on these planets, how they form and evolve over time, and the potential habitability of other worlds. Our work uses state of the art telescopes, both in space and on the ground. See also research on planetary remnants around white dwarfs.

Research news, job opportunities and possible PhD projects are shared part of the main Astronomy and Astrophysics group webpages.
