Restaurants are listed here with opening times listed here. Near our venue (Ramphal Lecture Theatre), there are Café Library (Library, closes around 3:30pm), Nexus Café (Bhattacharyya Building, closes around 2:30pm), Panda Mami (Warwick Arts Centre, closes at 9:30pm), District (Warwick Business School, closes around 4pm), Benugo Bar (Warwick Arts Centre, closes around 8pm), and Pret A Manger (closes at 8:30pm).

Dinner option on campus: Benugo Bar (Warwick Arts Centre, closes around 8pm), Panda Mami (Warwick Arts Centre, closes at 9:30pm), and Pret A Manger (closes at 8:30pm), The Dirty Duck (closes at 11pm),

There is also a campus supermarket, Co-op (closes around 8pm) and Pret A Manger (closes at 8:30pm) near Warwick Students' Union, and a bigger supermarket, Tesco (closes around 11:59pm), 15-minute away from campus.

Many locals hang out in a nearby towns, Royal Leamington Spa / Coventry / Kenilworth, which can be reached via buses (see bus services) from the university bus station.

Travel Information:

London Heathrow: There are two main travel options. (1) Take a coach from London Heathrow to Coventry, link here, and then take an Uber or taxi from Coventry to the Scarman/Radcliffe Conference Centre at the UoWarwick. Alternatively, (2) take the London Underground into central London, and then either (2a) travel from London Euston to Coventry by train, followed by an Uber or taxi to the Scarman/Radcliffe Conference Centre, or (2b) travel from London Marylebone to Leamington Spa by train, followed by an Uber or taxi to the conference venue.

Birmingham International Airport: You can take an Uber or taxi to the Scarman/Radcliffe Conference Centre at the UoWarwick.

Coventry Train Station: You can either take a taxi or a bus to the University’s central campus (you will need to get off at central campus’ Bus Interchange. A taxi rank operates outside the station. The journey will cost you approximately £10-15 and will take 10-15 mins depending on traffic. Bus services run between Coventry station and the University of Warwick. You can take either the number 11 or the 12X bus from Coventry station (and back). The journey time with the 11 takes 20-25 mins, whereas journey time with the 12X takes 12-15 mins. A single journey costs £3.00 and an unlimited day pass costs £5.20. You can pay by either cash or contactless debit/credit card on the bus.

Note that the university of located in the middle of England, 3 miles (5 kilometres) from the centre of Coventry and on the border with Warwickshire. Note that the University is not in the town of Warwick (which is about 8 miles away).

Uber: Typically Uber drivers pick up passengers at the central bus stop.

Parking Information:

Free parking is available, but you would need to register your vehicle in advance using your vehicle registration number and a promotional code. Please contact amos.chan@warwick.ac.uk for the code. The location of the car park is subject to availability and can be at Scarman, Radcliffe car parks (and Kirby Corner Car Park or Cryfield Village Car Park).

We recommend Scarman and Radcliffe bedrooms, both within walking distance of the lecture theatre. Standard bookings include breakfast.

  • Hotel Indigo Coventry — within walking distance of Coventry train station, with direct bus routes 12X and 87 to the University of Warwick Bus Interchange.
  • Ibis Coventry Centre — Budget option, within walking distance of Coventry train station, with direct bus routes 12X and 87 to the University of Warwick Bus Interchange.
  • Holiday Inn Kenilworth — within walking distance of Kenilworth train station, with direct bus route 11 to the University of Warwick Bus Interchange. Kenilworth train station is not as well connected as Coventry / Leamington Spa station.
  • Premier Inn Leamington Spa — within walking distance of Leamington Spa train station, with direct bus routes U1 and 11 to the University of Warwick Bus Interchange. Leamington Spa is the go-to town for Warwick students, but it is 30 to 40 minute bus ride away.
