Illuminating Engineering
Illuminating Engineering - Activity Overview
This outreach resource gives an introduction into product design. These lessons aim to give children an insight into how products are designed and made, using the example of a lamp. There are 4 lessons, with each one taking 1 - 2 hours each. There is also an option lesson which explores using net shapes as lampshades.
In order to take an active part in this activity, you need access to a computer, a class set of microbits connected to RGB led, and internet access to the makecode.microbit.org website. We have a resource box available containing the equipment for these activities. Please email wmgoutreach@warwick.ac.uk for its availability.
