Dr Elizabeth Goldring explores the hidden mysteries of Hans Holbein at The Queen’s Gallery

The University of Warwick’s Dr Elizabeth Goldring is set to speak at The Queen’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace on 30 November to discuss the works of Hans Holbein and uncover the hidden mysteries of the portraits. The talk is part of Royal Collection Trust’s new exhibition ‘Holbein at the Tudor Court.’


Nicholas Hilliard: Life of an Artist named Apollo's Book of the Year

Nicholas Hilliard: Life of an Artist by Dr Elizabeth Golding has been named the winner of Apollo magazine’s Book of the Year.

A study of the life and work of one of the most renowned artists of the Elizabethan and Jacobean eras, who had strong links to Warwickshire, Dr Goldring’s work was declared by Apollo, one of the world’s leading arts journals, as ‘not just the definitive biography of Hilliard but essential reading for anyone interested in late 16th- and early 17th-century England’ and ‘both timely and exemplary’.

Eleven young researchers selected to help Warwick deliver ambitious research strategy

The University of Warwick has been chosen to host eleven of 2019’s Leverhulme Early Career Fellows – just under ten per cent of the national total. Early Career Fellowships are awarded to enable young researchers to undertake a research project, under the supervision of a Warwick academic mentor, which will lead to publishable results and help them get a foothold on the academic career ladder.
