The challenges of rapid urbanisation are often felt most frequently in the developing world. According to the UN, a total of 883 million people live in slums globally. To address the myriad of social, economic and environmental problems caused by uncontrolled urbanisation, we are looking at how cities can be maintained in a sustainable way that creates jobs and prosperity without crippling land and resources.
