Sanctuary Roadshow Application

Please use this application form to request funding for a project that will form part of the City of Culture Sanctuary Roadshow ('project' here refers to an activity/event, including but not limited to activities such as theatre workshops, art installations, roundtable discussions, film screenings, training sessions, information sessions, legal clinics, service and advice sessions, etc.). Note that one individual can be listed on more than one funding application, if appropriate. Note also that a single application can involve linked projects and multiple participants, so long as this makes sense thematically and in terms of the venue and relevant costings.

The roadshow will be held across the month of June 2021, and some activities may form part of Refugee Week (14-20th June 2021). Please note that inclusion within the Refugee Week programme is not guaranteed, but is also not required to form part of the roadshow. Individual projects will qualify for funding so long as they speak to the theme of sanctuary and involve some form of collaboration with local communities in or around Coventry.

Please note that we have limited funds for the Roadshow, and these are likely to be used mainly to cover venue costs. We encourage you to consider possible venues for your project and to include costings for this if you have them at this stage. If your project would be suited to a shared roadshow space, then we will consider this option based on demand. All first round applications submitted by the deadline of 22 February 2021 will be considered for funding, so long as they fit within the remit of the roadshow. If there are any additional funds these will be awarded on a rolling basis until they run out, but we anticipate surplus demand and would ask you to budget carefully. Please list all costs and justify these in full, and speak to a thematic lead (listed below) in advance of your submission as appropriate.

Any queries about this form and/or the Sanctuary Roadshow can be directed to Professor Vicki Squire V.J.Squire@warwick.ac.uk and Ura Martin U.Martin@warwick.ac.uk
