Medical testing has been in the news recently, but it also has a long history that bears on the present. This workshop brings together a range of researchers at the University of Warwick with expertise on the history of medical testing, including the testing of people as well as substances. Talks will cover the ancient, early modern and modern periods, right up to the twenty-first century, and will include perspectives from Classics, History and the Life Sciences as well as History.
