Great Minds: An Exploration of the Brain

Monday 14 March 2022 - 9.30-1.30 - Radcliffe Conference Centre, Room 2 – University of Warwick

,l,.

Are you a student or an academic that is interested in the big questions surrounding the brain and mental health?
Would you like to join a network of like-minded people that are interested in asking, and answering, the big questions around how we think, and how our thoughts impact our lives? If so, then come along to our first exciting event of 2022!

Our event will feature talks from academics across campus who will explore the brain from a Neuro-anatomical, Neuro-physiological, Neuro-Economical and Psychological view point.

In the first of a series of exclusive events, we have teamed up with the Health GRP and the Productivity and the Futures of Work GRP to bring you a seminar centered around the brain, our Academics will be asking:

What do we know and what are we discovering about the form and function of the human brain?

How does our Brain Work?

How do we make big decisions, and how do these decisions impact our lives?

Why do we make certain financial decisions, and what are the implications of these?

How can we optimise our mental health?

How does healthy eating tie in with the brain, and developing healthy mental habits?

We will also have brain demonstrations available to view on the day, including models of the brain, and slides showing brain tissue.

Lunch will be provided on the day and our Academics will be on hand to answer any questions and have a friendly chat!
