Interdisciplinary Methodologies

Interdisciplinary Methodologies
The complex health problems that face us today will not be solved by ‘magic bullets’ or individual disciplines. Instead, the innovations to power a healthier world will spring from novel approaches that unite researchers and communities in unexpected ways. We will need to combine the depth and intense focus of research within the sciences, social sciences, clinical research, engineering and arts and humanities with the flexibility and insight gained by looking beyond our individual disciplines. The Interdisciplinary Methodologies team aim to foster new boundary-crossing partnerships to tackle health problems through inclusive, collaborative and highly interdisciplinary methodologies. We will work to connect researchers across disciplinary boundaries and with communities, and will support them to pilot new approaches.
Topics include...
- Synergising methodologies
- Expertise in big data
- Policy relevance
- Partnerships
-
Mixed methods research
-
Longitudinal approaches
-
Inclusive research
-
Co-creation interventions
