I-WOTCH research study selected as NIHR evidence piece
The I-WOTCH research study, which was conducted at Warwick Clinical Trials Unit, has been featured as an evidence piece by the NIHR (National Institute for Health and Care Research).
Dr Beck Taylor
Congratulations to Dr Beck Taylor, who has been announced as a co-lead for a new £50m consortium which will research inequalities that expectant and new mothers face. The research carried out across the consortium will focus on inequalities before, during and after pregnancy, and will also focus on building capacity for further research to help improve services over time.

In this lecture, Professor Powis discussed the successes and challenges of the NHS in 2024, including:
- How the NHS can help improve the health of the nation.
- NHS approaches to preventing and managing conditions with the highest morbidity and mortality.

Scientists from The University of Warwick and Fudan University, Shanghai have made a significant breakthrough around Alzheimer’s disease.
Memory Lane Cafe
The Memory Lane cafe initiative was set up by WMS students last year to offer a welcoming space for those affected by dementia. Based in Leamington every Wednesday afternoon, attendees are able to chat and make new friends, undertake a range of activities and have some refreshments. PhD student Bethany Linder has put together the video below to capture the work done by the team. It's great to see the positive impact our students are having with this project. Well done to everyone involved!
