Launch of the ECR Sustainability Training Academy in Venice
This is to let you know that today we have launched the call for our ECR Sustainability Training Academy (ECR STA, 30 March-5 April 2025), as part of the Sustainability Spotlight’s commitment to support ECRs.
We anticipate to recruit 20 global ECRs, based on the requirements of the call. We would be most grateful if you could disseminate this call through your networks and encourage your ECRs to apply please. We reserve 5-10 places to Warwick ECRs, and it would be ideal to have at least 1 nominee from each one of you/your network. The deadline for the submission of the application is 10 January 2025. Full information is available on the call’s website.
The key message is that ideally a sending institution should cover the travel and where possible to contribute to accommodation. We will cover everything else. I do hope you could help us to promote the Call, and we look forward to welcoming your ECRs to our Sustainability Training Academy in Venice!
Spotlight Talks: Profs. Roberta Bivins and Elena Korosteleva at WMS and SLS.
Professors Roberta Bivins (Health Spotlight) and Elena Korosteleva (Sustainability Spotlight) visited Warwick Medical School and the School of Life Sciences to highlight and explore collaboration opportunities with the Interdisciplinary Research Spotlights. They talked about the potential for interdisciplinary funding, boosting impact and visibility, and training for early-career researchers. At COP29, held in November 2024, Prof. Korosteleva mentioned there will be the launch of the ECR Training Academy for Sustainable Futures, introductions to the Warwick Climate Governance and Policy Network leading up to COP30, and the Cross-Spotlight forum planned for July 2025.
