Jonathan Browning
Jonathan Browning became chairman of the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership in April 2014.
Browning is a globally-recognised figure in the automotive industry, and joins the LEP board after three years as President and CEO of Volkswagen Group of America. His career has spanned the breadth of the industry from manufacturing to sales and across multiple countries and regions, and major OEM’s including Jaguar Cars and Vauxhall Motors. He was recognised as an automotive ‘All-Star’ in 2011 and 2012 by the industry leading publication Automotive News. Outside the industry, Browning has been active in numerous community based initiatives including the West Midlands Business in the Community group, the NSPCC in Coventry and most recently was co-chair, with the former First Lady Laura Bush, of the Campaign for the National Mall, which was leading the restoration of the national park in the heart of Washington DC. He holds a degree in Industrial Economics from Nottingham University and an MBA from Duke University in the USA.
