Why did you want to participate in TeamWork?

The TeamWork opportunity for me was a chance to boost my employability by developing a range of soft skills through a virtual internship programme. What is most unique about this opportunity is the global nature of the programme as you work on the project with students from around the world, showcasing future employers you are able to work on international teams.

What did you hope to achieve from taking part in TeamWork?

My approach was to be open-minded as you don't know what project you will be assigned but each provides a unique learning opportunity. In terms of goals, I wanted to build a global network, gain new experiences and develop key skills that employers are looking for.

What did you gain from the experience?

My experience combined elements of finance, data and strategy, which helped me see what sort of career I would most enjoy in the future. Aside from helping inform career choices, working on the project helped me develop both technical skills from data analysis to soft skills, such as teamwork and communication, which will hopefully help me with internship and graduate applications.

What was the highlight of TeamWork for you?

The international nature of the project and all the incredible people I met were definitely the best part of the TeamWork experience.
