Terms of Reference

Purpose: Define, inform and monitor provision for sector-leading training, development and support relating to PGR supervision and pastoral support.

To recommend: Inclusive and equitable practices, policies, and processes to ensure all supervisors are supported to meet diverse PGR student needs, and to ensure a consistently high standard of the Warwick PGR supervision experience.

To receive: Reports and recommendations from related sources of expertise as they pertain to supervision processes and practices (including institutional working groups, PGR support groups, and Faculty Education and Research Committees); local and institutional-level data relating to supervision and PGR pastoral care; supervision-related training plans; information on sector best practices from relevant institutional groups and experts.

To report: Progress towards the PGR strategy in respect of the quality of supervision.
